What personal information we collect

Personal information is the data that can be used for establishing a person's identity or for communication with a person.

When registering (creating a Palmist ID) and participating in the online survey, we ask you to provide certain information, including name, date of birth, city and country of residence, e-mail, and photos of your palms and fingers. Global Sense uses the information to provide you with the relevant services, as well as to contact you in case of any faults in the application.

When you share the content with your friends and family using the Function of Compatibility calculation, company Global Sense may collect the information about these people, including their names, dates of birth and photos of their hands and fingers.

You are not required to provide personal information, but if you do not specify it, in most cases, we cannot provide a service or to answer your questions. For example, Palmist application will not be able to provide information about your character without processing the pictures of your palms and fingers.

We do not collect information about your passport data, place of residence or work, as well as similar information about your relatives or friends. Also, we do not collect your real prints of palms and fingers, which can be used by law enforcement agencies to identify you. Collected by Global Sense photos of palms and fingers have no legal force in any country of the world in the field of identification of a particular person, because (1) the photos are not real prints of palms and fingers, and because (2) pictures of palms and fingers are not supported by passport data.

If you are afraid for the pictures of your hands and fingers, then while scanning your hands, you can uncheck "Store photos of my palms and fingers on the server for access from other devices, as well as after signing out of the account or app deleting". In this case, photos of your hands and fingers will not be sent to the Global Sense server and will remain only on your iPhone.

How do we use personal information

We may use your personal information, such as date of birth for verifying your age and for selection of appropriate services for you. For example, we can use the date of birth for the calculation of compatibility with any person, or to display the data of your biorhythms.

Collected photos of your palms and fingers are used to study the relations between person's abilities and the lines on their palms. These studies allow Global Sense to empower application Palmist. For example, collecting a certain number of shots of the palms and fingers of people of any profession, we can identify the distinctive features of a certain profession. This will help Palmist to add the function of determining the most appropriate type of activity. If you do not want photos of your hands to be used for research, then while scanning your hands, you can uncheck "I allow to use the photos of my palms and fingers for research (palm reading) and app improvement".

We may use personal information for auditing, data analysis, and researches aimed at improving the work of application Palmist, as well as way to communicate with customers.

The information collected in a survey by application Palmist is also used for research in the field of psychology and to study the relations between the lines on the palm of a person with his abilities.

The collected personal information also helps to inform you of new versions of Palmist or any upcoming events.

Collection and use of information that is not personal

We also collect data that do not report directly to the individual. Here are a few examples of the kind of information that is not personal, which we collect and use.

We may collect the information such as the location and the time zone where Palmist is used. This helps us to better understand users' needs and offer them more appropriate services.

We may also collect information about what users are interested in within the application Palmist.
